Along with leading edge price/performance metrics, the Tandberg DLT1 boasts backward read capability with the popular DLT4000 format. In addition, virtually all of the popular backup software packages are supported by default because the command set is already established by existing DLT products.

The Tandberg DLT1 offers a 40GB native capacity (80GB compressed) and a 3MB/second native transfer rate (6MB/second compressed), providing enterprise reliability and performance at low-end server pricing. The Tandberg DLT1 drive is available as an internally configured unit and as a tabletop drive.
