ID-1 Digital Instrumentation Recorder

If you need some serious data storage capability, the DIR-1000
ID-1 Digital Instrumentation Recorder definitely fits the bill. This 19mm
helical scan digital tape recorder conforms to the ANSI X3.175-1990 ID-1
specification, which records and reproduces at 1.3, 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32
Megabytes/sec. The ID-1 format utilizes azimuth recording techniques, which
minimizes the effects of mis-tracking and insures greater cross-play among all
ID-1 type units
