Quantum P1000 Series

The P1000 library is the clear choice for small- to medium-sized workgroups or an enterprise with distributed data. Quantum|ATL’s P1000 features Prism Storage Architecture and Enterprise-Class reliability. The P1000 can support up to four DLTtape™drives and 30 cartridges in a single library. Our pass-through feature links up to three P1000s, providing up to twelve DLTtape drives and 84 cartridges. The P1000, now available with Quantum’s Super DLTtape drive, coupled with the P1000 pass-through feature offers one to 18.5 terabytes of capacity and 144 gigabytes to almost a terabyte an hour of performance in 3.4 square feet. The P1000 has been precision engineered to meet Quantum|ATL’s rigorous standards and withstand all of today’s strenuous data storage demands, even at high tide.

P1000 libraries serve as cost-effective solutions for mid-range storage requirements. Starting with two DLT4000 drives and 16 DLTtape™ cartridge slots, P1000 libraries grow with your requirements to include as many as four DLT7000 drives and 30 DLTtape cartridge slots.

MODULAR PRISM LIBRARY ARCHITECTURE™
P1000 libraries incorporate the revolutionary new Prism Library Architecture. Featuring an industry standard PCI backplane, powerful Prism-based libraries are designed to support the addition of library building blocks such as host adapters, network adapters, storage controllers and single-card servers.

LOW COST OF OWNERSHIP
The P1000 is designed to provide low cost of ownership. Add drives and cartridge slots only when needed. Drives and other key components are user-replaceable to reduce service calls, and the friendly graphical user interface allows novice users to easily navigate the library control panel.

SPEED AND CAPACITY
With up to four DLT7000 drives in native mode, P1000 libraries store up to 1.05 TB, and backup/restore data at speeds up to 72 GB per hour.

DESKSIDE TO DATACENTER
Available in floor standing, shelf mount and rackmount configurations, P1000 libraries address the needs of the enterprise from desktop to datacenter.

For reliability needed to ensure continuous access to your data, P1000 libraries include IntelliGrip precision cartridge handling technology. The P1000 with IntelliGrip inside has a field proven Mean-Swap-Between-Failure rating of one million — and still counting.

WEBADMIN™ FOR REMOTE ADMINISTRATION
P1000 is accessible from anywhere on the World Wide Web using ATL's WebAdmin software for remote administration. WebAdmin provides library monitoring, event logging and event notification from a Java™-enabled browser
