The Exabyte X200 MammothTape™ tape library with native fibre
channel connectivity is typically installed in large application servers and
networks. It supports lights out data center operations, unattanded network
backup and restore, remote storage, automated archiving, imaging and
hierarchical storage management.
The X200 FC accommodates from two to ten Mammoth-2 (M2™) tape drives with native
fibre channel and from 40 to 200 Exabyte 225m AME data cartridges with
SmartClean™ technology.
The fibre channel interface provides SAN and serverless backup with enhanced
performance and reliability features. M2 drives inside the library communicate
directly with RAID devices, bypassing the server and eliminating large backup
windows. Users get continuous 24/7 backup and restore operations at speeds up to
five times faster than competitive libraries.
All Exabyte libraries feature the industry's most advanced and durable robotics
system as well as a user-friendly interface and modular design.

Exabyte Fibre Channel libraries like the 430M,
X80 and X200 are compatible with the following hardware in the same SAN. This
list changes often as new hardware products are tested and certified by Exabyte
engineers. All hardware was tested using the XIOtech® MAGNITUDE™ Fibre Channel
RAID hardware platform.
Host Bus Adapters: abbreviated
HBA, they are the connection between storage devices and servers,
translating the Fibre Channel protocol to the server through a PCI slot.
