from a 2 drive, 20 slot library to a 6 drive, 60 slot library for the same low
price. With the industry's best combination of capacity, manageability and
density, Magnum 6x60 will support your storage needs for today and provide for
future data storage growth. Offering up to 24TB of capacity in just 20u of rack
space, Magnum 6x60 provides over 1TB per rack unit, offering enterprise-class
capability at midrange affordability.
Flexibility is a key feature of the Magnum 6x60 LTO Library. It can easily
expand from a 6 drive, 60 slot library into a powerful 8 drive, 143 slot library
with a simple firmware upgrade. Magnum 6x60 accommodates changing storage needs
without requiring re-configuration of your rack, adding storage columns or
additional library modules. Magnum 6x60 comes standard with partitioning
capability, allowing users to create as many as four SCSI "virtual libraries" or
up to 6 native Fibre Channel "virtual libraries" within a single Magnum 6x60,
for the ultimate in flexibility and efficiency. Support for LTO-1, LTO-2, LVD
SCSI and native Fibre Channel drives all within the same library unit, all at
the same time, is also a standard feature; further increasing your Return on
Investment and providing for the ultimate in scalability.
Field installable interface cards enable users to mix multiple interfaces (SCSI
and Fibre Channel) for flexible connectivity options. Remote management is a
standard feature on all Magnum 6x60 libraries, providing users with the ability
to manage their data storage either directly from the library's front panel
display, or from a remote location via a Web interface connection. Native Fibre
Channel capability results in optimized performance for SAN applications without
the cost, performance and reliability issues associated with other routed Fibre
Channel implementations.
