The Exabyte Magnum20 LTO Library offers the user
enterprise-class capability at midrange affordability. With the industry's best
combination of capacity, manageability and density, Magnum20 will support your
storage needs for today and provide for future data storage growth. Offering up
to 60TB of capacity in just 20u of rack space, Magnum20 provides up to 3TB per
rack unit - far more than any other tape library - resulting in the most
efficient use of costly data center space.
Flexibility is a key feature of the Magnum20 LTO Library. It can easily expand
from as few as one to as many as eight LTO-2 or LTO-1 drives and 150 LTO
cartridges, accommodating changing storage needs without requiring
re-configuration of your rack, adding storage columns or additional library
modules. Magnum20 offers partitioning capability, allowing users to create as
many as four "virtual libraries" within a single Magnum20 library for the
ultimate in flexibility and efficiency.
Field installable interface cards enable users to mix multiple interfaces (SCSI
and Fibre Channel) for flexible connectivity options. Remote management is a
standard feature on all Magnum20 libraries, providing users with the ability to
manage their data storage either directly from the library's front panel
display, or from a remote location via a Web interface connection. Native Fibre
Channel capability results in optimized performance for SAN applications without
the cost, performance and reliability issues associated with other Fibre Channel
implementations.
A 5-cartridge entry/exit port gives users the option to conduct bulk
load/unloads of cartridges. Designed for 24x7 operations, Magnum20 requires no
periodic maintenance and offers such features as redundant power for the
ultimate in reliable operation.
