Exabyte EZ17-A

The Exabyte EZ17-A™ AIT-2 autoloader is an ideal first step into automated data storage. For tape drive users who are ready to move up to higher capacity performance, the EZ17-A offers unattended access to up to 910 GB of data at a rate of up to 56 GB per hour (compressed). Easy to operate and compatible with all major software applications, the Exabyte autoloader is also cost-effective. At nearly 1/4 the cost per GB of a standalone AIT-2 drive, the EZ17-A provides reliable unattended backup with the lowest possible total cost of ownership.

This compact, affordable storage solution accomodates one AIT-2 drive and seven data cartridges in a removable magazine to facilitate offline storage. The EZ17-A occupies less than one cubic foot of space, fitting neatly on a desktop or server. Like all Exabyte autoloaders and libraries, the EZ17-A is also rack-mountable.
