With up to 770 GB of storage and up to 43 GB/hour sustained
throughput, the VLS AIT is a one- or two-drive AIT tape library that offers
proven, high performance storage for large servers or medium sized networks. The
VLS AIT features AIT-1 tape technology, offering up to 70 GB per-cartridge
storage. AIT technology’s memory-in-cassette (MIC) feature means average file
access times as little as 37* seconds, making the VLS AIT a perfect choice for
near-line storage or active archive applications. The library’s 11-cartridge
magazines snap into place for fast loading, and stack to provide a convenient
archiving or offsite storage system.
