ADICıs Scalar 218FC DLT library is the industryıs first tape
library with a native Fibre Channel interface. It combines the speed and
reliability of DLT7000 and DLT8000 drives with the high performance and
connectivity of Fibre Channel to provide full support for Storage Area
Networks (SANs). With gigabit link speeds over distances up to 500
meters, the Scalar 218FC enables backup strategies not attainable with
standard SCSI interface libraries. Available in both desktop and
rackmount versions, this high-performance library offers 18-cartridge
capacity, 35-second initialization, and 10-second average media exchange
times. An integrated barcode reader and media import/export slot offer
advanced media management capability.
