Library Management:  Web TLC

 

Enables remote management of all Overland loaders and libraries from anywhere in the world, using the internet. The product operates in any server environment (platform and operating system independent) and with any standard Web browser. A simple graphical user interface (GUI) allows the operator to perform functions normally done at the loader or library front panel. The product can establish a dialog with up to four network management applications that use SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol.) Web TLC helps to

  Compatibility Compatible with all Overland loaders and libraries including the LibraryXpress (LXB; LXG; LXC); LibraryXpress Neo Series (LXN); EnterpriseXpress (LXE); MinilibraryXpress (LXM); LoaderXpress (LXL) and AIT LibraryPro. (May require firmware upgrade of library.)

Installation Web TLC is enclosed in a metal case which can be laid on the desktop (using the rubber feet); or attached to a rack using the supplied Velcro strips.
Connections The Web TLC has the following connections:
* RJ-45 connector - standard 10 BaseT Ethernet interface (IEEE 803.2).
* Male DB-9 connector - RS-232 serial interface to the library's diagnostic port; using a supplied straight-through cable.
* Male DB-9 connector - RS-232 serial interface for unit configuration. It requires use of a null-modem cable connected to a computer's serial port.
* DC power.
Operating Firmware The operating firmware of the Web TLC is stored in flash memory and can be updated through the serial port using the supplied utility; or through the Ethernet using FTP.
Power Supplies and Cords The external power supply operates over a continuous voltage range from 100 VAC to 240 VAC at 50 Hz through 60 Hz and supplies 5V DC to the unit; and provides a universal socket for any suitable AC cord.
Accessories Included * External power supply.
* Serial cable for connection to library.
* Serial cable for connection to personal computer (for configuration).
* Installation & User Guide and software for configuration (3.5" diskette).
