RMO-S551-DD provides up to 5.2 GB capacity in an ISO compliant drive design.
Backward compatibility is a key feature in protecting your investment in
existing data archives, and the 551 series meets this requirement. The
RMO-S551-DD drive not only reads and writes the latest 5.2 GB, 4.8 GB, and
4.1 GB media, but is compatible with all previous generations of 5.25-inch
MO media. The RMO-S551-DD can read and write to 2.6/2.3 GB and 1.3/1.2 GB
media, and read 650/600 MB media.
Improved data throughput
Along with increased capacity, the 551 series drives also deliver higher
data transfer rates. With a sustained data transfer rate of up to 5 MB/s,
the 551 series is up to 20% faster than previous drive generations. A fast
25 ms access time, a large 4 MB data buffer, and a fast industry standard
SCSI-2 interface also help speed access to your critical data.
Compact size, low power
The RMO-S551-DD MO drive comes in a compact, standalone making it easy to
add the drive subsystem to most desktop and server systems. Low power
requirements, less than 40 W, help to reduce power usage.

right away. With supplied software drivers for Windowsr and MacOSr systems
and User manual, installation can be quick and easy. The industry standard
SCSI-2 interface is compatible with a number of SCSI host adapters, reducing
