AutoLoaders
Plasmon's 8000
Series AutoLoaders are 3rd generation products and the result of
Plasmon's continued commitment to 12 Inch TrueWORM Technologyä. They
incorporate Plasmon's new 30GB drives which offer the highest
performance of any optical devices.
The AutoLoaders
are designed to support departmental or smaller applications that
require permanent, unalterable storage of key data. As a result of their
high performance and automated capabilities, they are also used to
complement one or more of Plasmon's large 1800 Series libraries. In this
scenario, the AutoLoader can act as a writing device, freeing the larger
robot(s) to focus on retrieving and reading files.
New 8120
AutoLoader 
The 8120 is a new
configuration introduced with this generation. This AutoLoader has
double the capacity (12 slots) of the 8600 with a cartridge swap time of
8 seconds or less. The 8120 is the most cost effective of the
AutoLoaders with a list price only slightly above the 8600.
