The question of what features a high-capacity removable drive must have
is a serious one. The new DynaMO 1300SD exemplifies Fujitsu's answers --
high capacity, strong performance and reliable data storage. As the
capacity of a single removable disk grows, so do users' concerns about
the reliability of the data stored on the disk. Using proven
magneto-optical (MO) technology, the DynaMO 1300SD is designed to meet
the ideals of a removable disk drive by offering superior reliability
and unmatched data protection.
High-performance storage
The DynaMO 1300SD provides high-capacity, high-performance storage. With
data transfer rates of up to 5.92MB/s, coupled with 1.3GB of storage
capacity, the DynaMO 1300SD meets the requirements of today's demanding
applications such as multimedia, desktop publishing and CAD/CAM. When
using a standard ISO disk, the maximum transfer rate is 4.9MB/s with
4,500 rpm rotational speed, which is 25% faster than the conventional
DynaMO 640SD/SE.
Rugged disks with capacity options
When you transport valuable data on a removable disk, naturally you are
concerned about the surrounding environment. Water, coffee, dust,
magnetic fields, and X-rays all threaten to destroy your data. DynaMO
uses rugged MO disks that are nearly indestructible and completely
immune to such elements. This means you can feel secure about storing
your data on an MO disk. MO disks also offer more variety in capacity
than any other removable disks. The DynaMO 1300SD accepts not only 1.3GB
disks, but also those having storage capacity of 640MB, 540MB, 230MB and
128MB. This allows you to choose the disk that best fits your
requirements.
Ready to use on various systems
The DynaMO 1300SD comes with device drivers and MO formatters for
Windows 3.1/95/98/NT 3.51/NT 4.0, OS2 Warp 3.0/4.0, and Mac OS 7.1 or
higher to assure the best performance for your particular system. The
user-friendly guide will enable you to complete installation quickly and
easily.
Light & small profile desktop device
DynaMO 1300SD is lightweight and has a small footprint even including
the internal universal power supply, which enables you to take the
device with you anywhere.
