Serial Attached SCSI uses a serial, point-to-point topology to overcome the performance barriers associated with storage systems based on a parallel bus or arbitrated loop architecture. Connecting with both serial ATA disks and Serial Attached SCSI drives, it will support two classes of disk drives.
Ultra320 SCSI doubles the maximum data transfer rate
for the SCSI bus from 160MB/sec to 320MB/sec and incorporates a new technology
